I am currently in the UK, and trying to find a place to do my Yachtmaster Ocean Theory course in August.  I have contacted several schools, but they all seem to only offer the course in the Fall.  Does anybody happen to know of a UK school that offers the course in August?

Thanks for any advice!!

Try Plymouth sailing school. They offer the course on a regular basis throughout the year. Have you also tried John percival on the Wirral? Good luck

Why don't you email the RYA directly or look on their website for a list of schools..... there are hundreds operating in the Solent or Southern England!!

Thanks to you both for the tips.  I have been combing the RYA website and contacted many of the schools, but no success yet.  I know JPMA doesn't offer that course during the summer.  Thanks to Alex for the tip about Plymouth Sailing School - I just emailed them so maybe I'll have some luck there.

Obviously with the Olympics many schools are helping out the organisers.   Cowes week itself has been pushed back 2 weeks, so it is  probable there are not many staff and trainers around as they are probably on the water themselves.....
