Hello all, I've just finished french mechanical engineering master, and before I had a 2 year certificate degree in internal combustion engine. I would like to go for en engineer career in Yachting industry. Should I go through the complete path, AEC, MEOL, Y4 etc or is there some equivalence that could help me get straight to the Y4/Y3 just taking the safety classes? Thank you for your help, I know it's not an easy question. I really wish to do this career change. However after 5 years of studies it would be too bad to restart from scratch.

Well, I've got my answer, just took my AEC, my former experience is not relevant. I could ask the mca for a letter of initial assesment to see what path I should take.
