I would like to hear from anyone who has attempted the Masters Orals without a prep course.
(I personally passed the OOW oral first time without a prep course... diligently working through the syllabus)
Any advice or strategies people?

Its a few years since I did my orals but the key point,  I believe, is that the examiner is looking for you to illustrate  your practical knowledge !!

He knows you have passed all your required exams so your theory is OK. What he would like is to you apply these principals to practical scenarios you have come across in your time at sea. Slant everything, if you can, towards what you have seen and done in your time as OOW etc.

If you don't know the answer to a question admit it upfront and dont try to guess your way through.

Good luck
