I was wondering if there is an online resource that will show which of my Navy credits are transferrable and countable to wards my licenses. I have already been told that I qualify for Master/Mate 100grt, based solely on time served, but there are many things like my Radar and Navigational training that are listed on my SMART transcripts that I was also concerned about. Any advice would be SUPER!

Rod, You will find that if attended; your advanced firefighing will be accepted, radar and navigation will only help you through the required STCW classes. Your sea time credits although you may have accumulated many years, unless you have held a USCG license during this time the most you would be expected to receive is a 200t masters. Maritime professional training center has very good information along with www.uscg.mil/nmc Capt Stan Glover

Rod- the USCG will accept most of your Navy time and training, however they tend to accept sea time on a ratio of 3:1. for three days of Navy sea time, they give you one. I couldn't find a reliable internet source that could automatically transfer your credits, but if you go to one of the training centers, such as International Yacht Training or Maritime Professional Training, sit down with them, and show them what you have done, they might be able to work something out based on your experience. Best of luck- Bill

Found the clarification in the MSM Vol. III, that 100% of my seatime will count since I'm an Operations Specialist, and after further investigation into my own record, I'm only getting credit for 5 years of my sea service, but still, that 60 months, 1800 days, 43,200 hours of acceptable transferrable time. So it looks like I'm right in line for my Master/Mate 200gt. Anyone have any advice on how to expedite my application to get it through faster? Should I submit it now, or after I take my classes?
