Air Handler full speed ahead

Hello, One of our air handlers on board will only run at the maximum fan speed. It is a Marine Air unit and the control head has been recently replaced. When you manually adjust the fan speed down to level one it still blows at maximum speed. Does anyone know what could cause this? Thank you for your help.

hi, try to push the fan button some seconds, it might change the status, if says CON that could be one reason that runs constantly...cheers

Calling marine air would probably be a good idea if the manuals are no help

Depending on the software version of your controller, both the display head and control board may need to be replaced together. There are adjustments within the program to adjust the fan speed for hi limit and lo limit of the fan motor. Look through your manual or go online to Marine Air website. They have manuals avaliable for download. Matthew

Could be the temp sensor. If it thinks its really hot it will be on high. Try going up and down on the temp settings...All the way each direction. Good luck Capt Jo

The SMX II contoller has a configuration setting for highest and lowest fan speeds. See page 12 in the SMX II TW manual (google "L-2218 smx ii tw"), its not hard to change.
