I took the SCTW 4.5 years ago. I'm looking to take the 1-day refresher course offered at your school. I see that the course is compliant with a code, but is it compliant with the SCTW 10? A friend of mine recently did a refresher course at another school and it was a 3 day program. Wondering if I need to take a longer course.

To be compliant, if you have enough sea time to renew your license, a 2 day course is required for BST. If you do not have enough time to renew without testing out, the required STCW course is 3 days. Some companies (if they are paying for the course) are requiring their employees take the 3 day course due to liability concerns. Good luck
