Marina Istanbul, in Büyükçekmece Bay, Turkey, provides a base and launch point for yachts exploring the Black Sea countries, as well as being a destination in its own right. 20 minutes drive from Istanbul International Atatürk airport and in easy reach of the main highways, it is also a great place from which to explore the famous Grand Bazaar, the Ayasofya museum and other attractions. Covering an area of 25 hectares the marina provides 600 full service berths for yachts up to 70 metres. Facilities include fuel station, pump-out, customs clearance, state-of-the-art security, and extensive repair and maintenance facilities. The marina village includes restaurants, cafés, bars, a spa, a sports complex, yacht club, captain’s club and one of the biggest shopping centres in the area. The official opening is scheduled for 2013.

Welcome to Superports!

With data on more than 600 Superyacht marinas, the Dockwalk team is pleased to present its online Superports directory.

Previously only available in print, the Superports directory contains information including contact details, facilities at the berth and local services. It also provides vital logistical information such as lat/long co-ordinates, berth numbers and sizes, prices and distances to local airports.

What's more, the whole thing works with Google mapping. Select a region or enter a location, rollover an anchor and see the name, location and photo of the marina. Click on it to load all the info on your chosen marina.

When you've chosen a marina, you'll notice a list of local services classifications in the right hand column. Right now it's fairly empty. That's where you come in.

We're building the site around our users, and we want to publish the things that are most useful to you. As you travel around the world, you can recommend the best bars, friendliest agents, most efficient electricians and the quickest taxis - to name but a few. And as the directory builds up, you can look up services that have been recommended by other Captains and Crew.

So if you've had a great night out, found the best surf shop or been impressed with an emergency repair, click on the Recommend A Local Service link and share it with crew around the world.
