Hello,

We are headed to the Monaco Yacht Show and I am trying to find a reliable source that explains what order flags should be arranged when dressing the vessel. Are you able to assist me with this please?

There is not "correct" way to arrange the flags, but there are some recommended sequences that offer the best variance of size and color.

Chapman's has a section about this if you have one on board, or you can visit this website

Dress flags are the alphabet, with repeaters for double lettering or sending codes or words. Depending on boat length you may need a couple of set

For typical dressing, simply alternate the 4 shapes so there aren't two alike next to each other.

Dressing ship overall is done with the international code signal flags, from steamhead to masthead and then down to the taffrail.Repeat by using two flags and one pennant.
