Hi,

I'm new to the industry of yachting, but not without skills!

Past includes: dual license as massage therapist/cosmetologist, bartending, waitressing and hostessing.  I've also cleaned houses for a weekend job.

Love to keep busy, I'm upbeat, and a team player.  Of all the silly things, I actually like to polish silver and iron!  I know, call me crazy.

So I'm looking to get my feet wet - have my STCW and appt for ENG1.  I'm one of those older gals who has worn a lot of hats so what will it take to secure my first job???

Any help appreciated.  I've put my CV on a few agency sites so far.

Janice

hi Janice I'm no expert but girl you have some trade skills. I would just get out there and do some dock walking and day work, if you really can't find a job on board by the end of the season apply to work in a bar or public place while still searching as yachts do come in or leave late
