Leading brokerage Northrop & Johnson welcomed high school seniors of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, a youth-focused organization dedicated to providing a safe, supportive and empowering environment for young people in Broward County, Florida. They got to explore N&J’s Fort Lauderdale office and marina facilities, including a walk-through of a yacht for sale/charter and learning sessions.

"We are thrilled to welcome Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County to our facilities. Northrop & Johnson is committed to fostering a spirit of curiosity and ambition among young minds, and we believe that exposing them to the dynamic world of yachting can ignite their passion for unique and fulfilling career paths," says Daniel Ziriakus, N&J president and COO.

On July 18, the Boys & Girls Clubs members received a glimpse into different departments, such as sales, charter retail, yacht management and crew services, with representatives sharing their experiences and answering questions.

N&J will be donating a scholarship to one Boys & Girls Clubs member who would like to attend the beginner’s program at Maritime Professional Training (MPT). The recipient will become certified and eligible to apply for positions in the industry after they graduate from high school.

Dedicated to inspiring today’s youth to explore promising career paths, N&J hopes to expand this program each year to continue education in the maritime industry, along with more funding for scholarships.
