Now one of the largest yacht marinas in the US, Las Olas Marina has opened on October 18. Owned by Suntex Marina Investors, the new marina is accepting reservations for dock space available after the 2024 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show closes.

Following a two-year construction, Las Olas Marina features 7,000 linear feet of floating concrete docks, 2,000 linear feet of new seawall, and over 40,000 square feet of new restaurants and marina amenities. It supports yachts from 65 to 315 feet across its 70 slips.

Captains and crew can enjoy a rooftop lounge with plunge pool and an outdoor kitchen, plus a luxury captain’s lounge with a large-format kitchen. Among the marina’s other amenities is three onsite restaurants with offerings ranging from fine dining to casual, for whatever you may require.

The construction of the marina also included converting three acres back to water and natural habitat and providing seawall improvements to protect against sea level rise. It is designed to be certified as a Clean and Resilient Marina, which is part of a Gulf of Mexico Alliance’s initiative to enhance the ecological and economic health of the Gulf of Mexico.

“In the heart of Fort Lauderdale, our marina is more than just a place to dock, it's a gateway to the city's rich history and vibrant culture,” says McLayne Sisk, general manager of Las Olas Marina. “Every visit blends luxury, convenience and the authentic Fort Lauderdale experience.”

In partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale, Suntex will own and operate the Las Olas Marina for 50 years. Their portfolio includes marinas in California, New York, Georgia and more.
