Fort Lauderdale authorities continue to investigate a fire that broke out in the engine room of M/Y She’s a 10 Too over the weekend.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue received reports Saturday afternoon on January 11 that smoke was seen coming from the stern of the 177-foot vessel at the Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina. Firefighters and three fire boats arrived to find fire in the engine room, Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesperson Frank Guzman says.
The fire was contained to the area where it started, and firefighters had it under control with 20 minutes of arriving, Guzman says. Nobody was hurt.
She’s a 10 Too was delivered less than a year ago. Built by the Overmarine Group and designed by Alberto Mancini, she was delivered in March and made the crossing to the Caribbean after a Med summer.
