Making its Palm Beach debut, the Oasis Lounge proved to be a haven for captains and crew from the spectrum of weather and bustle on the docks during the five days of the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Sponsored by Global Marine Travel, Dockwalk, Yacht Chandler’s, Derecktor Shipyard, Engineered Yacht Solutions and Shipyard Supply, it offered a place to relax, have a drink and a delicious lunch, catered by Buccan Sandwich Shop.

On Thursday afternoon, a few interior crew joined Heirlooms Linens’ managing director Ruth Douglas for a discussion on onboard styling and linens, including different fabrics and customizations to elevate the interior. Some special visitors made an appearance on Saturday at the Palm Harbor Yacht Club, allowing crew to meet players from the Miami Sharks rugby team. Later that evening, Fraser Flight launched his charity campaign to become the first Zimbabwean to solo circumnavigate the globe, unassisted and nonstop.

Even before the sound of the horns on Sunday, this edition of the Oasis Lounge was clearly a smashing success. Thanks to all who stopped by and we’ll see you at FLIBS!
