This December, in sunny St. Thomas, a fleet of the latest and greatest superyachts are due to gather for the inaugural edition of the Caribbean Charter Yacht Show (CCYS) to help generate charter bookings and kick start the winter season.
The show will welcome around 50 superyachts and many of the industry’s leading charter brokers, international suppliers, and service providers. Over four days, participants can look forward to a program packed with educational seminars, fun activities, and local entertainment with a Caribbean theme.
The yachts already set to attend range from 24 to 137 meters in length, including the 51.13-meter Helios 2 and the 50-meter Westport superyacht Hospitality. Yacht Haven Grande is the perfect venue, and capable of berthing vessels up to 200 meters in one of the most popular charter destinations in the winter calendar. No minimum stay is required, registration and dockage fees are low, and all registered yachts at the show will benefit from promotion via the show website, IYBA, and the charter marketing platform Superyacht Stories for a full 12 months.
Appreciating how hard superyacht crews work during show season, the program includes exciting leisure and learning activities for all crew departments, including a high-profile chef competition in partnership with Navy Beach, a cocktail competition with a local vibe, and the all-important crew party on the closing night. Throughout the event, crews will have access to excellent onsite fitness facilities and there will be further treats and surprises along the way.
The presence of these yachts, their teams, and crews will help bring back the all-important “positive impact that a show like the CCYS can have on the local, regional, and national economies,” as championed by IYBA’s President Bob Saxon.
As one of the leading superyacht marina owners and operators, show host IGY Marinas lead by CEO Tom Mukamal says, “IGY has worked hard to provide a great platform for yachting businesses to connect with customers and each other, implementing new and cost effective ways for all stakeholders to generate returns on investment.”
For an opportunity to win a state-of-the-art Go-Cycle and benefit from reduced rates, be sure to register your yacht before 31 August: registration@caribbeancharterys.com.
