In the early afternoon of March 25, a fire broke out aboard a vessel in the port of Viareggio, local media La Nazione reports.
There was no one on board at the time of the fire. Viareggio firefighters and staff from the harbor office responded to the incident.
Capt. Nando Macrì, who was in the port, says the vessel is 26-meter Terranova M/Y Mr. Frank and no one was on board because of the lockdown. The fire was successfully put out, he says.
The cause of the fire is unknown and under investigation.
