Chief Stewardess Rebecca Boyle was found dead on board 47-meter M/Y La Polonia while the vessel was docked in the Italian port of Imperia.
The 32-year-old British stewardess reportedly was discovered in her cabin after she failed to show up for breakfast on July 4. The Times reports that Boyle may have broken her neck in a fall on board. Local media Sanremo News reports that an autopsy will be performed, although investigators believe Boyle’s death to be an accident. No official ruling had been made and the accident is under investigation.
Boyle had only been working on the yacht for a week.
