On January 11, a fire broke out in a construction shed at the Ferretti Yacht yard in Cattolica, Italy, causing damage to a 30-meter motor yacht that was nearly complete and nearby vessels. The yacht is reportedly M/Y Party Line.
At around 9:40 a.m., 11 Vigili del Fuoco firefighters began extinguishing the fire and successfully did so and cleared the area. They reported no injuries, and the Regional Agency for the Protection of the Environment (Agenzia Regionale per la Protezione Ambientale) was on site for environmental surveys.
Local media Il Messaggero reports health personnel checked a dozen workers after inhaling smoke.
It’s still too early to estimate the damage and the cause of the fire remains unclear.
